Science publication: Plastics made without petroleum
A paper from the Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis group in Utrecht appeared in Science. With the new catalysts, developed by Krijn de Jong and co-workers, it is now possible to produce plastics without the use of petroleum. This research, done in cooperation with Dow Benelux and Delft University of Technology, appeared in Science with a publication entitled ‘Supported Iron Nanoparticles as Catalysts for Sustainable Production of Lower Olefins’. More information can be found in the press release of Utrecht University.
